It’s happened too many times to count. I run into the grocery store with the intent of purchasing one or two needed ingredients, not even grabbing a shopping basket. By the time I make my way from point A to point Z, I manage to arrive at checkout precariously balancing a stack of items between my hands, arms and upper body.
Last Saturday after a weight training session, Scarlet and I headed to Fry’s Marketplace for rice and plain Greek yogurt that I needed for recipe testing. After passing just two aisles I thought, “Well, we are here already, we may as well shop.” Scarlet had already nestled into her favorite car cart (yes, those obnoxiously large shopping carts I thought I would never push in a million years).
Here is a look at everything else I purchased.
Wholly Guacamole classic
Wolfgang Puck soups: vegetable barley, chicken tortilla
Dole fruit cups in 100% fruit juice
Uncle Ben’s 90-second rice pouches
Wolfgang Puck iced coffee (8/7/11 Update: it tasted very good)
Gefen whole wheat orzo
Muir Glen organic tomato paste
Muir Glen organic whole tomatoes
Chobani Greek yogurt
Fage Greek yogurt
Shamrock low-fat cottage cheese
Earth’s Best mini waffles
