Position title: E-newsletter editor

Location: Phoenix, AZ area. Almost all of the work can be done virtually, some optional work is on-location

Employee type: Volunteer (estimated at 5-10 hours per month)

Pay: Unpaid (see below for perks). Occasional paid opportunities available.

Minimum qualifications:

  • College student majoring in dietetics, marketing, communications or journalism preferred. At least 2 years of college education is preferred.
  • Must be tech-savvy, a self-starter, and comfortable learning new software programs, such as Mail Chimp or Constant Contact
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Perfect spelling is a must.
  • Must have their own computer with internet and email access
  • Ability to respond via email or phone within next business day

  • Detail-oriented
  • Proactive and organized
  • Have a sense of urgency and adhere to deadlines
  • Be pleasant and easy to work with
  • Have a positive, go-getter attitude—this is a no whining or blaming zone
  • Must be interested in (preferably passionate about) food, and even better—healthy food
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment

Description:

  • Chef Dudash Nutrition is seeking to fill the new position of an e-newsletter editor with writing and communications experience
  • Manage all aspects of Michelle Dudash’s e-newsletter, including setting up the e-newsletter account (likely in Constant Contact or Mail Chimp), choosing the look of the newsletter, selecting content (from Michelle’s blog), writing seasonal food news and other items of interest to Michelle’s readers
  • Import contact list and keep up-to-date
  • Support brand awareness and consistent marketing communication efforts
  • Coordinate with other team members, as needed (nutrition assistant, social media intern and the boss)
